  • What are the laser hair removal contraindications?
    -Sunburn or other severe skin burns or cuts -Presence of pustules/papules -Psoriasis, eczema, etc. -Recent cosmetic or surgical procedures Recent laser or IPL skin treatments Severe varicose veins Recent use of antibiotics, isotretinoin, blood-thinning medication, steroids, prednisone Presence of autoimmune disease Chronic skin diseases
  • What should I do 4 weeks before treatment?
    Avoid receiving injectable fillers or Botox 4 weeks before treatment in the area. Fully complete intake of antibiotics or any hormonal therapy before starting your laser hair removal treatments.
  • What should I do 2 weeks before treatment?
    Stop waxing, plucking, tweezing, threading, chemical epilation, etc., as they disrupt the hair follicle, which is the laser's target. Avoid tanning, including tanning beds, and sunless tanning products. DO NOT bleach or use chemical peels.
  • What should I do the day before, and on the day of treatment?
    The treatment area must be clean/shaven 12-24 hours before treatment. During the treatment, the skin must be clean and free of makeup, lotion, oils, deodorant, etc.
  • What should I expect on the day of treatment?
    Mild redness and swelling may occur (histamine response - normal) Avoid tight clothing, overheating, sweating, etc. Apply SPF 30+ You may use Aloe gel to soothe the skin if needed.
  • What should I expect on the day after treatment?
    Continue to avoid sun exposure/tanning. Use SPF 30+ daily. If redness, swelling, or itching continues, get over-the-counter cortisone cream and/or an oral antihistamine (Benadryl) Resume shaving if needed.
  • What should I expect 4 weeks after treatment?
    Keep exfoliating the treated areas 2 times a week to minimize the risk of ingrown hair and encourage the shedding of treated hair. New hair growth occurs about 4-6 weeks after treatment until the full course is completed.
